Macy  Sutton Jr.
Macy Sutton Jr. was born on December 13, 1944 to the late Macy and Mattie Sutton in Henderson, NC. He was the second oldest of one brother and four sisters. At an early age he gave his life to God at the Hughes Grove Church in Henderson, NC. He later joined the St. Marks Baptist Church in Browns Mills, NJ, where he was a loyal trustee. Macy graduated from Henderson Institute in 1962. Soon after, he moved to Philadelphia, Pa where he met and married the love of his life, Virginia Bazemore. During the fifty-one and a half year marriage, they had three sons together and enjoyed three grandchildren. Macy served his country in the U. S. National Guard. He was a hard -working and dedicated tanker driver for thirty-five years at Matlack Trucking Company. Although Macy was a hard-worker, he liked having fun too. He loved traveling, old cars, drag racing, Nascar, westerns, the news and spending time with his large family who lovingly knew him as "June."After a brief illness, he departed this life peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. He leaves to mourn his wife, Virginia; three sons, Maurice (Michelle), Michael (Tracey), Kevin (Kimberly); three grandchildren, Stefanie, Dale, Zachary; four sisters, Grace, Elsie (Henry), Gay (Lorinza), Cassandra; one brother, Michael; three aunts, Sadie Davis, Gertrude Eskridge, Lottie Hughes, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and special friends, Ulysses, Willy, Joe and Bob.
