Samuel W. Wilson of Whiting passed away August 15, 2018 at the Whiting Health Care, Whiting, NJ. He was 89. Sam was born in Mt. Holly, NJ and had been a long time resident of Mt. Holly before moving to Whiting 7 years ago. He retired as an inspector for Trans Continental after 30 years. Sam enjoyed hunting, watching the race horses, boxing and gardening. Sam was preceded in his death by his first wife Florence, and three of his children: Steven, Samuel Jr., and Carol Anne;  the passing of three of his grandchildren : Steven, Christopher and Joshua; the passing of his  brother; Warren.   Sam is survived by his wife of 33 years Gisela; his children: Sandra Abrams (JIm Abrams), Linda Campbell (Richard Campbell), and Terri Riling; step children: Don Schaefer, (Darlene Schaefer), Susanne Mills and Kris Schaefer; and two daughters-in-law: Shereen Wilson and Lacey Schaefer and a son-in-law: Dominique DeMundo; his grandchildren: Rachel, Jaimie, Lisa (Jimmy Bridges), Sandy, Shannon Marie, Danielle, Donald, Steven, Kevin, Kristian and Hudson; great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Dakota and Brooke; and his great-great grandchildren: Morgan, Mason and Lillian. He is also survived by his cousin and friend Howard Sykes.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday 9-10AM at the Lee Funeral Home, 317 High St., Mt. Holly. A Pastoral Service will be held at 10 at Lee funeral home and at the final Interment which will follow the service at the Mt. Holly Cemetery, Mt. Holly.
