Cheryl L. Sweet of Browns Mills passed away January 7, 2020 at Aspen Hills in Pemberton. She was 57. Cheryl was born in Mt. Holly, NJ and had been a longtime resident of Browns Mills. She had worked many years as a cook at the Chrisitian Caring Center in Browns Mills, cooking for the homeless and worked code blue for Burlington county during the winter months. Cheryl enjoyed playing bingo, telling jokes, being a social bird, and traveling; but her biggest love was spending time with her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Harry Sweet Jr., Rose Hopkins, Herbert Sweet and Betty Hopkins, her mother Hilda Sweet and her Father, Harry Sweet; the father of her children Jose Merle and her significant other Larry Hopkins. Cheryl is survived by her children: Melissa Merle (Jason), Maria Ogando (Edward) and Jose Merle Jr. ; her grandchildren: Alex Merle, Lorena Ogando, Addison Hopkins, Kayla Ogando, Adrien Hopkins and Jason Onderdonk Jr.; and her siblings: Charles Sweet (Mildred), Barbara Sweet, Kenneth Sweet, Donald Sweet, Linda Hopkins (Ronald Hopkins) and William Sweet. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved very much.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 13th at 7PM at the Lee Funeral Home, Mt. Holly. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family Monday evening from 5-7PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Cheryl to the funeral home to help cover funeral expenses.
