Shawn, what can I say... Other then... My silence... I'm so so so sorry that you're gone! You were a good friend. A nice man. A loving son. A helping hand. Loving father. And so much more. I always said you were like a "father figure" to me and I can still hear you saying "be careful kid, let me know when you get home" because you knew I had a little drive ahead of me. I know some days, more then less recently, that you didn't feel too good and just weren't yourself, but put those grumpy days to the side and you were always a fun guy with a huge smile on your face. I'm glad to know you got to enjoy this past summer, you got to truly relax a little and got to enjoy your boat. And what about Layla?! She's in good hands Shawn. You already know that. But she misses her dad for sure. I think it's safe to say we all do. I'd like to give my sincere condolences to your mom! I remember the one time she was calling and you weren't going to answer and I said better answer that phone. Bc it's your mom. And you only get 1 of those and you did and I heard her sweet little voice and you can hear in her tone. Just how much she cared for you and was concerned for you. And when you hung up. You felt so much better by just talking to her knowing now that your mom feels better because she just got to talk to you. Her little boy in her eyes still to this day I'm sure. To your mother, although we never met. From the bottom of my heart. I truly am so so sorry. And if you need anything or any help at the house or an ear to speak to or be silent with. I'm here. I keep saying to myself. No. Why. No way. Not Shawn. Why him. Why. Why. Why. And this man didn't deserve this. Not to die. He just didn't! And it's truly heart breaking. But I also gotta think tho that Shawn now is no longer consumed by worrying, nor is he sick no more. He's no longer unable to breathe, or in any more pain. He's free. Finally free. His soul set out to a more beautiful place.... That's what I'd like to think at least and until we meet again.... "Steve" lol..m (inside joke between us).... Shawn**** may you be in heaven tonight watching over us all please dear God. And may you rest peacefully. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone hurting from this loss.
Love to you in heaven.
Goodbye & goodnight Shawn. Until we meet again.
Kristina (or as he'd say, kristine)
& my fiance Michael.
Rest in peace Shawn!
(Its so hard to still just take this in I swear)
