Obituary for Andrzej P Pitynski
Maestro Andrzej Piotr Pitynski,
March 15, 1947 - September 18, 2020
With profound sorrow, we regret to inform you that Andrzej Piotr Pitynski passed away last
Friday morning (September 18, 2020) at 1:57 am, in Mount Holly, New Jersey.
Maestro Andrzej Piotr Pitynski was an Artist/Sculptor, a proud Polish-American Patriot, and
a recipient of Poland’s Order of the White Eagle (Poland’s highest order awarded to both civilians
and members of the military for outstanding merits and life achievements). Maestro Pitynski’s
works and accolades are too numerous to name here. Those interested in learning about his awe-
inspiring life will find volumes of content, composed in English and in Polish, via the internet.
A viewing of Maestro Pitynski’s body will be held on Sunday, September 27, (11:00 am – 2:00
pm) at Lee Funeral Home in Mount Holly, New Jersey. Due to the present pandemic, said
viewing will only be open to family members and very close friends.
When international travel restrictions are eased, and as per Maestro Pitynski’s request, an urn
containing his ashes will be brought to Ulanow, Poland (the town of his birth), where it will be
placed to rest in the grave of his brother, Michal (Januszek) Pitynski, who died as a child in a
tragic drowning accident on the San river. The two brothers will rest in peace together for all
eternity.
The Pitynski family would very much like to thank all those who have offered their condolences.
We would also like to thank all those who have shared their sorrow and expressed their grief over
Maestro Pitynski’s passing via social media. We would especially like to thank the President of
Poland, Andrzej Duda, for his warm words of sympathy.
With that said, the Pitynski family submits the following poem in commemoration of Maestro
Pitynski’s Spirit (which lives in the hearts of those family member he leaves behind and in the
hearts of Patriots throughout the world). We honor and salute Andrzej Pitynski’s memory.

Bronze Prometheus
“For Tatus, 1947-2020!”
To where do you fly, Bronze Prometheus,
Too tame to cry, too wild to hide thy name?
Your Signature’s inscribed in Hussars’ Eyes!
Could you whisper a ransom for this fame
Your works are worth, that I might multiply
That price by infinite acclaim and pride?
Thy Sculptures’ Birth breathes even with God’s Trust.
Catching twilight in a fading tear, I
Must admit my blonde soul pales with fair blush
Of deep awe to witness gusts of greatness
Wear thy pieces as blessed winds wear the rain
Dreamt up by charging storms. Your hands shall rest
In Heaven where they’ll sculpt a scene for Saints,
And the heart of you that can best express
Its Patriotic Feeling to the world
Will chisel a fire from abandoned pearls
To lie upon lone shores where Poland curls
Thy Weight, For Right, For Might, For Evermore!

Maestro Pitynski is survived by his wife, Christine Gacek Pitynski, his long-term partner, Claire
Brown, his two sons, Aleksander Mark Pitynski and Michal Seward Pitynski, his daughter-in-
law, Agnieszka Pitynski, and his grandchildren, Andrew Pitynski, Alexandra Pitynski, and
Angelica Pitynski.
The family welcomes donations to the American Liver Foundation or an organization of your
choice as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
