Obituary for Zatira C Rains
Zatira C. Rains of Cherry Hill, passed away October 4, 2020 at the age of 44. She was a longtime CNA for various hospitals and nursing homes. Zatira previously owned Caring Hands, a home care business with her mother; which she eventually owned herself. She loved to decorate, cook and being a mother to everyone in her neighborhood. Zatira was even known to babysit all the kids in her neighborhood as well as the children in the family. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her maternal step-grandfather Luddie Baxter, her grandfather Eddie Rains, her father Wallace Willingham and her aunt Theresa Rains. Zatira is survived by her mother: Gloria Rains; her children: JaJuan Martinez, Jordan Malik-Hill, Julius Chamble and Jaylen Victoria Smith; her siblings: Rashad Nathaniel Rains, Sharice Allen, Shaquan McNair, Equashia Allen, Malachi Abney, Chefaun Abney, close cousins, Yashia Whitehead and Tarace Carson, Shaunotta Whitted and many more; her foster daughters: Lebrittany and Limaris; her maternal grandmother Leatrice Joyce Baxter;, is also survived two uncles: Willie “Randy” Rains and Malcom Melvin; three aunts: Jerri “Bunnie” Whitehead, Quan “Jody” Thomas, Sharon “Sherri” Phillips, and Veronica “Ronnie” Samuels; her godmother Yvette Cross; two nieces Zaniah Rains and Aaliyah Rains and nephew Elijah Rains.
A Celebration of Zatira’s life will be held on Saturday October 10th at 2PM at the Lee Funeral Home, 317 High St., Mt. Holly, NJ. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family Saturday afternoon from 1-2PM at the funeral. Interment will be private. Email condolences to the family at leefuneralservice.com.
