Obituary for Choon Ban Anderson

Choon Ban Anderson of Mt. Holly passed away February 10, 2021 at Cooper Hospital in Camden, at the age of 91. She was born in North Korea, and she studied fashion design in South Korea prior to immigrating to the United States. She was a longtime resident of Mt. Holly. Choon also worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at Medford Leas in Medford. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and a member and founder of the Korean International Daughters’ Society, a Korean American women’s charitable and social organization. She served as the organization’s president two times. Choon enjoyed watching Korean TV shows and reading, but her biggest love was spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all.
Choon was preceded in death by her husband, William Anderson, and her granddaughter, Alicia Sansalone. Choon is survived by her two daughters: Mesanie Lee (Richard) and Elizabeth Sansalone (Stephen); her grandchildren: Katrina Brandt (Daniel), William Sansalone (Rebecca), Kristin Lee, and Kimberly Sansalone; and her great-granddaughter, Emma Kate Brandt.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Moday, February 22th at 9:30AM at the Sacred Heart Church, 260 High St., Mt. Holly. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday evening February 17th from 6-7PM at the LEE FUNERAL HOME, 317 High Street, Mt. Holly. Interment will follow the mass in the Beverly National Cemetery.
