Richard A. Tilghman, Sr. of Mt. Holly passed away Monday February 22, 2021
at Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly, at the age of 69. He was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa and
had been a longtime resident of Mt. Holly. Rick was a 1970 graduate of Northern
Burlington Regional High School. He retired from the Trenton US Postal Service after
30 years working as a Mail Processor. Rick was very active in the community sports
programs, coaching wrestling and baseball or whichever sport his children were
involved in. He loved cars and especially old trucks, surf fishing on LBI and most of
all spending time with his family. Rick was a loving husband, father, grandfather,
brother, son, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his father Tom Tilghman, step-father John
Redwanski and his sister Pattie Timmerman. Rick is survived by his wife of 49 years
Linda (Orban); his children: Richard A. Tilghman Jr. and Dawn Tilghman; his mother
Arlene Redwanski; and his grandchildren: Sophia & Jasmine Tilghman, Stephen &
Kayla Roccia. He is also survived by his brother: Kraig Redwanski, step brother
Roger Redwanski, step sister Valerie Darnell; and his nieces and nephews: John
Redwanki, Kristy Timmerman, Shannon Adcock, Jason & Vicki Redwanski and
Michelle Darnell.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday March 1, 2021 at 8PM at the Lee
Funeral Home, 317 High St., Mt. Holly. Relatives and friends may visit with the
family Monday evening from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private
and at the convenience of the family. Email condolences to the family at
