Obituary for Thomas Anthony Lajkowicz

Our dad, Thomas Anthony Lajkowicz was born on December 4, 1944 and began his life in heaven on February 25, 2021. Raised in Mount Holly, Dad was a graduate of Holy Cross High School, Delran and Lewis College, Illinois. He was the former owner of Broadway Glass, Pennsauken.

We will always cherish the years dad loved scuba diving, fishing, hunting, Long Beach Island, music and playing chess. His passion for scuba diving lead him to pursue a certification as a Dive Master. He loved sharing his interests with others.

Crippled by MS, our father had been confined to a wheelchair and resided at Medford Care, Medford. Never once did he complain of the cards he was dealt. We, his children and those whose lives he touched admired his positive attitude, sense of humor and humble way of finding joy in each day.

Dad loved the summer months when the weather was warm and he could spend his days outside in the courtyard around nature. He grew tomatoes in the garden and liked watching the hummingbirds that would feed from his humming bird feeder.

The staff and residents would collect and give leftover bread and rolls so he could feed the birds, deer and other small animals that were around. He enjoyed Misto shakes from Rita’s Water Ice and any treat we’d bring when we visited. Dad was an exemplary model of appreciating the little things. He will live on in our hearts.

He is survived by his sister, Christine Lajkowicz of Haddonfield, daughters Kim Musgnug ( Peter) of Southampton and Kristy Rearden ( Michael) of Medford, son, Michael of Hainesport, former wife, Janice Lajkowicz of Mount Laurel, cousins and grandchildren, Diana, Anthony, Elisabeth, Jacek, Macie and Julia.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made to the National MS Society in his memory. Respecting Dad’s wishes there will be no service.
