Roy William Malone of Edgewater Park, NJ passed away July 30, 2022 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in the Samaritan Hospice Unit in Mt. Holly, at the age of 76. He was born in Mt. Holly, NJ and had been a longtime resident of Edgewater Park. Roy was a painter by trade and owned his own business Roy W. Malone painting. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, shooting pool, watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Roy was a big animal lover.
He was preceded in death by his son Kevin Malone, his brother Paul Malone, his sister Maureen “Molly” Grimes and his brother in law Bruce Grimes. Roy is survived by his wife of 48 years Katherine (née-Howells); his daughter Megan Malone; his siblings Pat Malone ( Elizabeth), Jerry Malone (Eileen) and Mark Malone (Marsha); his brother in law Patrick Howells; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday August 6th at 11AM at the Lee Funeral Home, 317 High St., Mt. Holly. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family Friday evening August 5th from 6-9PM and Saturday morning from 10-11AM. Interment will follow the service at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Route 130, Burlington. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Burlington County Animal Shelter, 35 Academy Drive, Westampton, NJ 08060 or to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
