Obituary for Robert Charles Roy Haines

Robert Charles Roy Haines of Bridgeville, DE passed away Sunday July 31, 2022 at Tidal Health Nanticoke in Seaford, DE at the age of 77. He was born in Pemberton, NJ and had lived in New Jersey for several years, moving to Wellsboro, Pa in 1998 and then moving to Delaware in 2003. Robert worked as a heavy equipment operator for Burlington County Highway Department, where he retired after 26 years. He loved tinkering with lawnmowers, grading driveways, cutting grass, hunting, trapping muskrats and the past 9 years he enjoyed going to church. Every morning you could find Bob at the Eagle Diner, drinking coffee and talking to his buddies. Bob also loved going to auctions, all his animals, visiting Lancaster, Pa, and supporting his grandchildren in school activities and sports. He loved holiday gatherings with family, which came with big dinners he enjoyed.
              He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Hazel Rose Haines; his son Charles Randy Haines and his brother Walter James Edward Haines. Robert is survived by his daughter Amanda Lee Haines (fiancée David McRae); his grandchildren Brianna Lynn Elizabeth West and Trenton Lee Everett West; his niece who was like a daughter to him Misty Bowen; his sister Betty Jean Evans; his nephews Johnny, Robert, Kenneth and Kenny Evans; and his ex wife Bonnie Fink.
             Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday August 10th at 11AM at the LEE FUNERAL HOME, 317 High Street, Mt Holly. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday August 9th from 7-9PM and Tuesday morning from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in the Brotherhood Cemetery, Marne Highway, Hainesport.
