Obituary for Michael Adam "Mike" Giebey

Michael “Mike” Adam Giebey

Michael Adam Giebey, 61, went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2023.

He was born in Mt Holly, NJ on August 21, 1961 to the late Regina Clapper.

He graduated from Rancocas Valley High School in 1979. He had a passion for music from a young age, and was a gifted guitarist, song writer and bass player. In his younger years, he and his close friends formed bands and played music together entertaining at school talent shows and other community events. He held fond memories of those days throughout his entire life.

He was a man of strong faith, and attended Fountain of Life Center in Burlington, New Jersey and Grace Community Church in Marion, North Carolina. He completed religious studies at Liberty University. Mike had a strong work ethic. He worked for a time at Great Adventure. He also had employment with RMP and Stonhard. After moving to North Carolina in 2006, he obtained a scholarship for Truck Driving School at Isothermal Community College. He earned his CDL License and obtained a position with Crete Carrier Corporation. He traveled across the country for 8 years and received many achievement awards for his work.
He was a loving father and grandfather who was greatly loved in return.

Mike had an appreciation for the arts and enjoyed attending concerts, movies, and plays. He had an awesome green thumb that showed in the lovely flowers, fruits and vegetables he grew. He had a love for books and enjoyed reading. He had a brilliant and intellectual mind and a heart for those in need. His spiritual gift was giving, and he helped many people and organizations financially throughout his life.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Griner and son-in-law Russell, granddaughter, Victoria Griner, brother Bernard Giebey, and his beloved friend and care-giver, Diane Brooks. Also, survived by cousins Robin McIntosh, Joseph Stackhouse, Marco Tabone, and his Aunt Barbara Stackhouse and Uncle Butch Stackhouse.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Catherine Clapper and grandfather Bernard Clapper, brother Patrick McAdams, and cousin David Stackhouse.

Viewing and service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Lee Funeral Home 317 High St, Mt Holly, NJ 08060
