Obituary for Robert Ronald "Bob" Neidig

Robert Ronald Neidig

Robert R. Neidig of Washington Twp. passed away suddenly on September 15, 2010 at JFK Hospital in Washington Twp. He was 67. Bob was born in Camden, NJ and had lived in the Washington Twp. area for several years. He retired as a Principal for the West Berlin Twp. Board of Education, where he worked for 38 years. Bob was a parishioner and CCD teacher at the Church of the Holy Family. He was also a member and 3rd degree knight of the Knights of Columbus #NJ1498, a member of the Philadelphia Zoo, a member of the South Jersey Principals Assoc. and he was involved with Smart States. Bob enjoyed traveling, painting, writing, doing carpentry, photography, birds, animals and nature; but his biggest love was his family. He was a devoted family man who loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years Lillian Neidig (nee-Klinshaw); five loving children: Andrew Neidig, Brian Neidig, Kurt Andress, Richard Andress and Christine Lettieri; his loving grandchildren: Jesse, Reed, Evan, Emily, Luke, Sienna, Jena and Shane; and by his brother: Richard and Nancy Neidig.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday September 21st at 11AM at the Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Road, Sewell, NJ 08080. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family Monday evening September 20th from 6-9PM and Tuesday morning September 21st from 9:30AM-11:00AM at the church. Interment will follow the mass in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 240 Lower Landing Road, Blackwood. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Bob to the The National Audubon Society, 225 Varick St., 7th Floor Apt. # W, New York, New York, 10014. Arrangements made with Edward V. Kaelin III at the LEE FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Holly.
