Shelby Lee Katilus of Lumberton passed away suddenly Friday June 10, 2016 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly. She was 22. Shelby was born in Camden, NJ and had been a longtime area resident. She was a 2012 graduate of Rancocas Valley High School. Shelby enjoyed spending time with her nephews, fishing and being adventurous. She loved her mom and always said "her mom was the strongest person she ever knew." Shelby also loved her dog Milli. After the lost of her daughter, Milli became her new baby girl. Shelby was a donor to the Gift of Life and as of this writing, she has saved the lives of three people, from her donations.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather Richard Katilus Sr and her daughter Alexia Paige who she loved dearly. Shelby is survived by her mother Sherry Katilus, her father Charles Haines III; her siblings: Candice Patterson (Shawn Parker), her twin Gabrielle Katilus, Jamie Bodine (Irving), Charles Haines IV and Corey Haines; her grandmother Joyce Katilus; her aunts and uncles: Ricky Katilus (Ann) and Chrissie Hoff (Patrick); her nephews Shawn and Dallas Parker; and her cousins Josh Katilus and Maddie Hoff. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday evening June 14th at 9PM at the Marlton Assembly of God, 625 East Main St., Marlton, NJ. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family Tuesday evening from 6-9PM at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Shelby to Teen Challenge l, 329 East Wister St. Philadelphia, Pa, 19144. Email condolences to the family at leefuneralservices@comcast.net.
