Harry R  Curran
Harry R. Curran of the Village of Rancocas passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016 at Lourdes Hospital in Camden, N.J. He was 79.
Harry was born in Camden and had been a longtime resident of the Village of Rancocas. He served his country in the U.S. Army and retired as Lieutenant from the New Jersey State Police after 27 years. For the last 15 years, Harry worked for the N.J. Department of Labor as a tax examiner.
If not working, Harry enjoyed reading, watching boxing and watching the Philadelphia Phillies.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janet (Lucas); his children, Dawn L. Curran (Elaine Rocha), Karen Treiber (Andrew) and Michael Harry Curran (Annmarie); and his grandchildren, Michael Robert Curran, Alainna Curran and Fallyn Treiber. Harry is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 17 at the Church of the Assumption, 28 Monmouth Rd. (Rt. 537), Wrightstown, NJ 08562, where relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow with honors in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
Due to the cemetery's restriction on flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Harry to New Jersey State Police Survivors of the Triangle (SPFAST). Checks can be mailed to SPFAST, P.O. Box 43, Sea Girt, NJ 08750.
